With the spread of Coronavirus, the world of sport has established a stop and the ATP and WTA institutions have suspended competitions at all levels until 31 July 2020. Given the unpredictability of the spread of the virus and the temporal advantage of Italy , hit in advance compared to the rest of the world, MEF tennis events has created, in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation and the top Italian players, a national circuit to return on court as soon as possible, in full compliance with hygiene and health regulations. The circuit starts from Todi, a Covid-free Umbrian town since 27 March, with the “Campionati Italiani Assoluti”, on 21 June. The second tournament, open to foreigners, will be held in Perugia on 29 June.

Internazionali d’Abruzzo

After 25 year of absence, international tennis tournaments are back in Abruzzo. From 20th to 26th of April, Francavilla al Mare will host the fourth edition of the ATP Challenger 80 called “Internazionali di Tennis d’Abruzzo”. The tournament – with a prizemoney of $ 54.160 – is also known as the “Adriatic Foro Italico”, and has become the most important tennis events of the Adriatic coast, from Rimini to Lecce.

Parma reached a top-ranking place in the international tennis panorama, hosting an ATP Challenger tournament, and becoming a stepping stone for any young players as well as a unique occasion to admire renowned names in the tennis world.

Internazionali di Perugia

From  6th to 12th of July, international tennis lands in Perugia for the 6th edition of the ATP Challenger named “Internazionali di Tennis – Città di Perugia”. This is one of the most important sport events in Umbria and takes place during Umbria Jazz festival. A special week and the greatest atmosphere for a so special ATP Challenger tournament. 

6 - 8 December 2020

Final Four Serie A1

The four best italian teams, two female and two male, are vying for the Italian Championship title. Matches are taking place in a three-day challenge and Lucca (Tuscany) is the host city. A one of  a kind indoor big show for fans and tennis-addicted.

10 – 11 February 2018

Fed Cup

2018 symbolized the beginning of our  partnership with the Italian Tennis Federation. MEF tennis events became FIT technical partner for the Fed Cup match between Italy and Spain. The Palatricalle Arena was the stage of an epic win of the Italian team, who earned the access to play-off for the World Group I.

August 2019

Valerio/Galea Cup

Classifiable as a “Junior Davis Cup”, the Valerio/Galea Cup is the most important Under 18 competition in Europe. Inaugurated in 1970, the Valerio/Galea Cup was the stage of young famous tennis players, such as Lendl, Gunthard, Noah, Mansdorf, Tulasne as well as Italian names like Ocleppo, Rinaldini, Cancellotti and Camporese. Each year the tournament site alternates between France and Italy and in 2018 MEF tennis events was given the responsibility to organise the Italian stage.

    Born in Todi (Umbria) on 9th October 1990, Elena  is the co-founder of MEF tennis events, for which she has built the entire image and communication strategy.

  • Federica Marchesini


    Born in Todi, Umbria, on 9th October 1990 Federica is the co-founder of MEF tennis events, and she is in charge of the logistics and organisational aspects of the business, including managing ticketing and accreditation.

  • Marcello Marchesini


    Marcello, co-founder of MEF tennis events, was born in Todi, Umbria, on May 14th, 1961 and he’s the General Manager of the company.

  • Marta Magni

    Content Media Maker

    Born in Todi on 7th June 1994, Marta is the official photographer and video maker of MEF tennis events.


  • Year after year the ATP Challenger Tournament – named “Internazionali di Tennis dell’Umbria” – reaches a higher level both in top-player participation and in management and organization. Today it represents one of the most important tennis stages in Italy. A big congratulation to Marcello Marchesini and Francesco Cancellotti for the competence and passion they have shown over the years.

  • Inaugurated in 2008 in Bra, the Final Four of the Italian Championship are today held in Foligno. An awesome event managed by MEF tennis events, which is led by Marcello Marchesini. MEF manages the ATP Challenger in Todi, Perugia and Francavilla al Mare and it’s an unprecedented reality in Italy – professional managers who live and breath tennis 12 months a year and know how to set up top notch quality events!
