With the spread of Coronavirus, the world of sport has established a stop and the ATP and WTA institutions have suspended competitions at all levels until 31 July 2020. Given the unpredictability of the spread of the virus and the temporal advantage of Italy , hit in advance compared to the rest of the world, MEF tennis events has created, in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation and the top Italian players, a national circuit to return on court as soon as possible, in full compliance with hygiene and health regulations. The circuit starts from Todi, a Covid-free Umbrian town since 27 March, with the “Campionati Italiani Assoluti”, on 21 June. The second tournament, open to foreigners, will be held in Perugia on 29 June.
The four best italian teams, two female and two male, are vying for the Italian Championship title. Matches are taking place in a two-day challenge and Todi (Umbria) is the host city in 2020. A one of a kind outdoor big show for fans and tennis-addicted.
After the suspension due to Covid-19, the twelfth edition of the International Tennis City of Todi returns to the calendar for 2020. Nominated as the “most livable city in the world”, Todi returns to the calendar of the ATP Challenger Tour. Over the years, players like David Goffin, Grigor Dimitrov, Kevin Anderson, Benoit Paire, Marco Cecchinato, Matteo Berrettini have competed on the red earth. The Great Tennis lands in Forlì. From Saturday 12 to Sunday 20 September 2020 at Villa Carpena Tennis Club, Internazionali di Tennis Città di Forlì will be staged, an ATP Challenger 100 tournament organized by MEF Tennis Events. The tournament will be one of the few international events that will be regularly played in this troubled season, conditioned, as is known, by the coronavirus emergency. A great event in a big stage that in the past has seen legends of the caliber of Roger Federer, Ivan Ljubicic and Ivo Karlovic.

International tennis is back in Parma with a new ATP Challenger Tour appointment. From 31th October to 8th November 2020, the city of Parma hosts an indoor version of the tournament, with prize money of $ 52,080 and 80 points up for grabs.

From 6 to 12 July 2020 international professional tennis will be staged in the city of Umbria Jazz with the sixth edition of the International Tennis City of Perugia. The tournament, named by the commentators of SuperTennis TV as a “luxury Challenger”, is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the region and guarantees the public an ATP 250 sports show every year.

The tennis show with $ 54,160 prize pool returns to Padua at the end of July. After the past editions of the tournaments of the ATP Challenger Tour and ITF circuit, in 2020 the curtain opens on the ATP Challenger 80 by MEF. The new stage of the circuit will be the Circolo Canottieri Padova.
Classifiable as a “Junior Davis Cup”, the Valerio/Galea Cup is the most important Under 18 competition in Europe. Inaugurated in 1970, the Valerio/Galea Cup was the stage of young famous tennis players, such as Lendl, Gunthard, Noah, Mansdorf, Tulasne as well as Italian names like Ocleppo, Rinaldini, Cancellotti and Camporese. Each year the tournament site alternates between France and Italy and in 2018 MEF tennis events was given the responsibility to organise the Italian stage.
2018 symbolized the beginning of our partnership with the Italian Tennis Federation. MEF tennis events became FIT technical partner for the Fed Cup match between Italy and Spain. The Palatricalle Arena was the stage of an epic win of the Italian team, who earned the access to play-off for the World Group I.

Year after year the ATP Challenger Tournament – named “Internazionali di Tennis dell’Umbria” – reaches a higher level both in top-player participation and in management and organization. Today it represents one of the most important tennis stages in Italy.
