After the resounding success of the 2020 edition, the Internazionali di Tennis Città di Forlì followed in the positive wake with the second edition, staged at Tennis Villa Carpena from 13 to 19 June. The tournament, part of the ATP Challenger Tour professional circuit, with 80 ATP points up for grabs, saw German Mats Moraing lift the trophy to the sky.
Last year, international tennis made its debut in Forlì with an ATP Challenger 100 with an impressive entry list (twelve players in the top 100 registered). The winner was the eighteen-year-old Lorenzo Musetti from Carrara (his first Challenger trophy).
A great event in a great setting: Tennis Villa Carpena has hosted 17 national tournaments in recent years, including the Italian Championships in various youth categories and the Women’s Second Category Absolute Championships. In the past, legends of the calibre of Roger Federer, Ivan Ljubicic and Ivo Karlovic have trodden the clay courts of the Roman club, ready to welcome the champions of today and tomorrow.
